Summer Reading Program Grand Finale
at
Summerdale
Public Library
We will have our final program Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:45. We'll have arts &
crafts time from 10:00 to 11:00. We will be painting canvases with acrylic paints, sun catchers, making sand art bottles
and making our own personal pizzas. We'll also have face painting and goody bags. We'll announce our top three readers
and present certificates to all children who participated in the Summer Reading Program. We'll then walk to
the Splash Park for the last 45 minutes. Children will need to wear bathing suits under their clothes or wear clothes they
can get wet and bring a towel. Parents will need to bring their children to the library in the morning and pick them up at
the Splash Park.

Come see
Summerdale's new Splash Park. Spend a wonderful afternoon in Summerdale. Check out some books and magazines at the Summerdale
Public Library, take the kids to the Splash Park and let them run through the fountains of water as they spray and then on
to Summer Scoops for a sandwich or ice cream. Summerdale - a great place to visit.
"GO GREEN @ SUMMERDALE PUBLIC LIBRARY"
The Summerdale Public Library has been designated as an official compact fluorescent light bulb (the
curly light bulb) recycling drop-off location by Baldwin EMC who strongly urges consumers to recycle the bulbs. The bulbs
do contain mercury but the amount is so small they are completely safe for use in homes and can be disposed of with normal
household trash if recycling is not an option.

The Marjorie Younce Snook Public
Library held it's grand opening on Nov. 29th, 2007. The library was named after Mrs. Snook for her generous contribution.
Donors who contribute $1000 or more are recognized on a plaque inside the foyer. The library offers reading, audio and visual
materials, public computers with Internet access, wireless connections, and copy and fax services. We also have a community
room, named after United Bank for their generous donation of furniture for the room, available for use by the community.
