plans for the yard sale fundraiser to be held on March 31st. Everyone is invited to attend. Donations are being

The Friends of the Summerdale Public Library held their annual
Book & Bake Sale Oct. 27-29 at the Summerdale Town Hall. The Friends preview was held Oct. 27, 1-6 pm and the book sale
was open to the public on Friday, Oct. 28, from 9 am to 7 pm. and Saturday, Oct. 29, from 9 am to 1 pm. Community turnout
was great and the Friends raised over $500 during the sale. The Friends will play a vital role in raising funds for shelving,
furniture, decorations and more for the new 2000 sq ft library addition that will house the Children's, Juvenile and Young
Adult sections. The addition should be completed by the end of February. The clean-up committee, which packed up and stored
books that didn't sale, are pictured above. From the left are: Melody Gilley, secretary/treasurer; Cathy Kennicott, president;

The Friends of the Summerdale
Public Library were established in 2008 and have raised over $2000 for the library to date. Currently over 25 community members
contribute annually to the Friends and many of these contributors actively volunteer their time to assist the group with fundraising
efforts that include the annual used book sale. Our library has become an essential and important part of the Summerdale community
offering Fiction and Nonfiction books, Large Print books, Audio books, DVD’s, programs for children and adults, copywork,
fax services, computer and Internet access and much, much more. The Friends will play a vital role in raising funds for shelving,
furniture, decorations, etc. for the new children’s library addition. If you are not a member of the Friends of
